OUTSTANDING COFFEE ROASTER is a specialty coffee roastery and coffee stand in Uji, Kyoto.

Our roots in coffee roasting in Uji go back nearly 50 years. Today, we work with distinctive coffees from producers around the world, roasting each one to bring clarity to its character, sweetness and aroma.

Our coffee stand is located about a five-minute walk from Byodoin Temple, inside a renovated machiya townhouse dating from the Meiji era.
